About

I believe that our research interests often reflect a little bit of who we are. As an immigrant to Canada driven by the ideals of social justice, I saw in immigration a research subject that would allow me to link the individual stories of migrants with the analysis of public policies in a comparative perspective.

Originally from France, I completed my graduate studies in Canada, earning a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Montreal in 2009 (Best Thesis of the Year) at the Centre for International Studies and Research (CERIUM). I was subsequently a postdoctoral researcher at Sciences Po Paris and MIT.

In 2011, I joined Simon Fraser University’s Department of Political Science as a continuing faculty member, cross-appointed to the Department of Urban Studies since 2021. I currently serve as the Graduate Chair in Urban Studies

My research lies at the intersection of these geographical and intellectual journeys and combines public policy, comparative politics, migration and urban studies.
