About the project

This research explores how refugee mothers raising young children in Metro Vancouver experience and “make home” in Canada. Through focus groups with Syrian and Eritrean mothers and interviews with settlement workers, the project examines what home means to these women, what supports inclusion, and what challenges they face, with the goal of improving services for refugee families.
